Eiffel Tower
Paris, France
Completed in 1889 for the World's Fair, the Eiffel Tower was the world's tallest man-made structure until 1930. Its iron lattice design consists of 18,038 separate parts held together by 2.5 million rivets. Some visitors find the most striking view is actually from the Champ de Mars rather than the top.
