A quiet green valley a short drive west of Skardu, in Baltistan. Terraced fields, apricot and poplar trees and stone village houses sit beneath bare brown mountains, with glacial streams running through. It sees far fewer visitors than Skardu's famous lakes, which is most of its charm.
