Carved in 1996 to celebrate King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 50th year on the throne, Khao Chi Chan features an enormous 109-meter tall Buddha etched into a limestone cliff. The gold inlay gleams under the sun, with the contrast against the rock creating a mesmerizing sight.
