The basics
What is VoyaBear?
VoyaBear is an AI travel companion. You tell it how you like to travel, and it plans trips around that: day-by-day itineraries, places to eat, things to do, and how to pace it all.
It's also a place to keep your travel life: a world map that fills in as you go, a bucket list of everywhere you want to reach, your tickets for whatever you have booked, and a bear of your own to dress as you go.
Is VoyaBear free?
Yes. You can take the personality quiz, plan trips, explore destinations, and track your map without paying anything.
VoyaBear Plus is optional. It makes the AI tools free instead of coin-priced and includes coins each year for the wardrobe. Everything else — saving trips, your bucket list, reels, bookings, the map — is free and unlimited either way.
Do I need an account?
The free travel tools work with no account at all. Visa checker, cost calculator, packing list, and the rest.
You need an account for anything VoyaBear has to remember: your travel personality, your trips, your map, your bucket list, your tickets, and your bear.
How do I get started?
Take the quiz first. It's a few questions about how you actually travel, and it's what every later recommendation is built on.
Then tell VoyaBear where you're headed, or ask it to pick, and it will draft a full itinerary you can edit, reorder, and save.
Planning trips
Where do the travel videos come from?
They're reels from real creators — people who went and filmed the place — matched to the city you're reading about. Each one is checked against the platform before it's filed, so you get a working video with the creator's own handle on it.
None of it is stock footage. If a city has no reels yet, the row simply isn't there, rather than being filled with something that merely looks tropical.
How does VoyaBear build an itinerary?
It starts from your travel personality, then layers on the specifics of your trip: the destination, your dates, who you're going with, and the pace you asked for.
The result is a day-by-day plan with real places attached, not a list of famous landmarks. You can swap any activity, move things between days, or ask for a different version entirely.
Can I change a trip after it's generated?
Yes, and you're meant to. Add your own activities, remove the ones that don't appeal, drag days into a different order, or ask in chat for something more specific: quieter mornings, more food, less walking.
Where does the information come from?
Places, ratings, and location data come from our own destination database, which covers thousands of cities and attractions worldwide.
The wording around them is generated, so treat opening hours, prices, and visa rules as a starting point rather than the final word. Always check the official source before you book or travel.
Does VoyaBear book flights or hotels?
Not yet. VoyaBear plans the trip; you book it wherever you prefer. Anything you book elsewhere can be forwarded or pasted into Tickets, so the plan and the bookings sit together.
Can I keep my flights and hotel bookings in here?
Yes, that's what Tickets is. Forward a confirmation email to the address shown on that screen and it turns itself into a ticket: flight numbers, times, reference, the lot. You can also paste one in with the + button if you'd rather not leave the app.
When a booking arrives as a PDF, the original is kept too, so the boarding pass and its barcode are there at the gate rather than only a transcription of it.
Tickets work out which trip they belong to from their own dates and cities, and start a trip if none matches, so you can forward a confirmation before you've planned anything. Everything you hold shows up in one place, across every trip.
Can I see what flights and hotels cost?
Yes, for your own dates. A trip can price the flights you'd actually take and show a nightly hotel estimate for the city, so you can tell whether the week you're considering is the expensive one before planning it in detail.
Booking still happens on the airline or hotel's own site. Those are affiliate links, which is part of how the rest of VoyaBear stays free.
Can I book tickets and tours?
From an attraction, yes — "Book tickets & tours" opens that place on Viator, where the tickets are actually sold. It's an affiliate link, and the price is whatever Viator charges.
Whatever you book, anywhere, forward the confirmation to Tickets and it sits with the rest of the trip.
Can I plan a trip with someone else?
Yes. Invite whoever you're travelling with and you're both editing the same trip: add a place or move a day and they see it, without anyone exporting anything.
Bookings can be shared with the trip too, so one person isn't the only one holding the hotel address.
How do I find out what's on while I'm there?
Each city has a What's on section with dated exhibitions and events, so you hear about the thing at the museum while you can still go, rather than once you're home.
There's a What to eat section too: the dishes a place is actually known for, and where to find them.
Does it work without signal?
Saved trips stay readable when you lose connection, so you can still pull up today's plan on a train or in a dead zone. Anything that needs the AI waits until you're back online: new plans, chat, fresh recommendations.
Personality, coins and your bear
What is the travel personality quiz?
A short quiz that sorts how you travel into one of sixteen travel personalities, going on how you like to plan, what you want out of a day, and how fast you move.
It isn't decoration. Your personality is the thing VoyaBear reads before it recommends anything, which is why two people asking for the same city get two different trips.
Can I retake the quiz?
Yes. Travel taste changes, and you can retake it whenever you like from your profile. New recommendations follow the new result.
What are coins for?
Coins unlock wardrobe items for your bear and pay for the AI tools. You earn them by completing daily quests and by exploring, with no purchase required, and you can top up if you'd rather not wait.
Here's what things cost: a chat message is 1 coin, planning a trip is 20, searching for places nearby is 8, and editing an itinerary is 3. Exploring, saving places, your map and the quiz are all free.
VoyaBear+ covers all of it, so none of those cost a subscriber anything.
How do I get more coins without paying?
Daily quests. They're small — look somewhere up, save a place, keep a streak going — and a reasonably active week earns enough to keep planning without spending anything.
You can buy them if you'd rather not wait, from £0.99 for 100, but you never have to. VoyaBear+ removes the question entirely by making the AI unlimited.
What's the bear for?
There are two. VoyaBear is the assistant, the one that answers you in chat, and it always looks the same. The other one is yours: you dress it in the Wardrobe, and it's the face on your profile.
Wardrobe items are bought with coins, or earned. Some are free from the start, and there are ready-made looks if you'd rather not assemble one piece at a time.
How does the world map work?
Mark a country as visited and it fills in. Do that a few dozen times and you have an honest picture of how much of the world you've actually seen, plus a fairly motivating amount of blank space.
Plans and billing
What does VoyaBear Plus include?
Unlimited AI: chat, trip planning, itinerary edits and nearby searches, none of which cost you anything. Plus 600 coins a year for the wardrobe, and priority planning when things are busy.
It's £29.00 per year. The live price at checkout always wins if the two ever disagree.
How do I cancel?
From your subscription settings, any time. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've already paid for, and nothing you created gets deleted when it lapses.
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel through that store's subscription settings instead, because those platforms own the billing.
Do you store my card details?
No. Payments run through Stripe or the mobile app stores, and card numbers never reach our servers.
Privacy and your data
What information does VoyaBear keep?
What it needs to personalise your trips and keep your account working: sign-up details, your travel preferences and quiz result, the trips and places you save, and basic usage data.
The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, including who processes what on our behalf.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. There's a self-serve deletion page, and you can also email us to have it done for you. Deletion removes your trips, saved places, map, and profile.
Apps and support
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. VoyaBear is on iOS and Android, and everything syncs with the web app under the same account.
Something's wrong, or I have an idea. Who do I tell?
Email admin@voyagerai.io, or use the feedback button inside the app. VoyaBear is built by a very small team, and product decisions genuinely get made off the back of these messages.
